Upcoming Painting Workshop:

CAPTIVA ISLAND, FLORIDA

January 23-27, 2002
A PAINTING WORKSHOP ON CAPTIVA ISLAND, FLORIDA

Captiva Island is one of the most beautifully preserved and well-known areas on the Gulf Coast and its beaches have been recognized as the country’s most romantic two years in a row. These beaches are renowned for their abundance of shells and the overall tranquility and provided the inspiration for Anne Morrow Lindbergh’s best-selling book, A Gift From The Sea.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Our workshop is for all levels, beginners to advanced, to renew their creative instincts with the medium of their choice. Your instructor, g.a. Sheller, brings to you over 35 years experience in art instruction. Topics covered will include drawing, composition, color methods of handling paint, creativity and use of the camera as a tool for gaining information. Each day will have its own insight into a unique creative approach through the use of instructor’s readings.

We will paint the sights of this beautiful island; the pristine beaches, the exquisite sea birds, lush tropical foliage, colorful and scenic marinas. The workshop will include individual and group instruction, as well as critiques. Painting will be done on site, with a rain location in the event of inclement weather.

Workshop Fee: $350 - contact g.a. Sheller for accommodation recommendations.
